About Us
Owners
Owners William and Leisa Langley are the heart of Lula J's Home Bakery. What started as a way to connect with a loved one who had passed, grew into a passion for baking. Lula J's Home Bakery strives to bring the taste of Grandma's baking into your home. With family recipes, updated techniques and a whole lot of heart, we here at Lula J's want to bring home baked treats to your next get together.
History of Lula J's
The name Lula J's comes from Leisa's grandparents, Lula and John. Lula loved baking and John would help her. In fact, when cakes needed designs on them, he would draw the designs. That's something they did together.
He encouraged her to do what she loved and helped her achieve the success she did by buying her a better mixer, investing in cake decorating classes.
Lula was known throughout her neighborhood for her cakes and treats. She was always in charge of the kitchen at church. And she passed that love for baking to her children and grandchildren.
After their passing, as an attempt to feel closer to them, Leisa found recipes and began practicing and fell in love. Lula J's was born. What started as the small dream of a mourning little girl grew to the home bakery it is today.
